Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Fast Docx Viewer.
Effective date: January 1, 2025
Fast Docx Viewer is committed to transparency. These Terms of Service govern your use of our browser-based document tool. Because we process everything locally on your device, our terms are simple and user-friendly.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Fast Docx Viewer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Description of Service
Fast Docx Viewer is a free, browser-based tool that allows you to view, edit, and export Microsoft Word (.docx) documents entirely in your browser. No files are uploaded to any server.
All document processing occurs locally on your device using WebAssembly and client-side JavaScript libraries. We do not store, transmit, or have access to any documents you open with this Service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the Service.
You must not:
- Use the Service to process documents containing illegal content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
- Use automated scripts to access the Service in a manner that could damage or overburden our infrastructure
- Misrepresent the origin or content of documents processed through the Service
- Use the Service to violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
4. Privacy & Data
Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this Service. All document processing is performed entirely on your device — your files never leave your browser.
We do not collect, store, or process the contents of any documents you view or edit. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on what limited data we may collect through general website usage.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Fast Docx Viewer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of any documents you process through the Service. We claim no rights over your content whatsoever.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our Service without explicit written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the document conversion output. Always verify converted documents for accuracy before relying on them.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fast Docx Viewer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months (which, for a free service, is zero).
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that should survive by their nature will continue in full force.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with the effective date. By continuing to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the revised terms.
10. Contact
