1. Overview
Fast Docx Viewer is built with a privacy-first architecture. Your documents are processed entirely within your browser — no file data is ever sent to, stored on, or accessible by our servers.
This Privacy Policy explains what minimal data we may collect through general website usage, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
2. Your Documents Stay on Your Device
This is the most important thing to understand about Fast Docx Viewer: every document you open is processed entirely on your device using client-side JavaScript.
We never see, receive, store, or transmit the contents of your documents. Ever.
- No document data leaves your browser
- No server-side processing of your files
- No cloud storage of your content
- Documents are only held in your browser's memory while you have the tab open
- Closing the tab permanently removes all document data
3. Data We Collect
We collect minimal data solely to operate and improve the website. This may include:
- Browser type and version (for compatibility improvements)
- Operating system and device type
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- Referring URL (how you found us)
- General geographic region (country/city level, via IP address — not stored)
This data is collected in aggregate and anonymized form through standard web analytics tools. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use a small number of third-party services to help operate the website:
- Web analytics (e.g. privacy-focused analytics with no cross-site tracking)
- Content delivery network (CDN) for fast loading of static assets
- Web hosting infrastructure
These services are carefully selected to minimize data collection. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
Because we collect only anonymized, aggregate analytics data, there is no personally identifiable information to retain or delete.
Any document data you process is held only in your browser's memory for the duration of your session. It is permanently removed when you close the tab or navigate away.
7. Security
All connections to Fast Docx Viewer are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Because no document data is transmitted to our servers, the risk of a data breach exposing your document contents is zero.
We follow industry best practices for securing our web infrastructure and promptly address any security vulnerabilities that are reported to us.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data under laws such as GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and others.
Since we collect only anonymized aggregate data, there is typically no personally identifiable information associated with you. If you have a specific request, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
- Right to access information we hold about you
- Right to correction of inaccurate data
- Right to deletion of your data
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page, with the effective date updated accordingly. Significant changes will be communicated prominently on the website.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
11. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please reach out to us through the Contact Us page. We take privacy seriously and will respond promptly.
